The Dewerstone is a group of granite crags above the River Plym in Dewerstone Wood, owned by the National Trust and one of Dartmoor's best-known climbing spots. Legend says the Devil, or Dewer, drives lost travellers over its edge with his hounds, and an Iron Age fort sits on the hill above.
