Bowerman's Nose is a tall stack of weathered granite on the northern slopes of Hayne Down, near Manaton, and one of the most photographed rocks on Dartmoor. It is the hard core of an old tor, standing above the blocks that have fallen from it. Local legend says it was once a huntsman called Bowerman, turned to stone by a witch.
