Ben Klibreck rises alone out of the empty moorland of central Sutherland, and its highest point, Meall nan Con, has a trig point with a large rock beside it. Meall nan Con is usually translated as 'the mound of the dogs', and the mountain's Gaelic name, Beinn Chlìbric, as 'hill of the speckled cliff'.
