Ciste Dhubh, 'the black chest', is a pointed peak between Glen Shiel and Glen Affric, falling steeply into deep glens on every side except the south. Its rocky top carries a cairn, and the views take in Mullach Fraoch-choire, A' Chralaig and Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. Although the summit is only about 15 km from Loch Duich on the west coast, its water drains east to firths more than 80 km away.
