Mullach Fraoch-choire sits on the western arm of the Cluanie Horseshoe, on a ridge running north from Loch Cluanie towards upper Glen Affric. The name translates as 'heather-corrie peak'. Most people reach it along the ridge from A' Chràlaig, scrambling round a run of pinnacles with steep drops on both sides, and the last stretch is very narrow. The top has a cairn, with a wind shelter just to the east.
