From the shore of Llyn Celyn, Carnedd y Filiast rises to 669 m on the Migneint moorland, with the Conwy/Gwynedd boundary passing through its trig-pointed summit. In good weather the view takes in Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Berwyns and Arenig Fawr, and in exceptional conditions the Isle of Man and the Lake District. A north-facing glacial cwm, Y Gylchedd, lies on the hill.
