For years this western end peak of the Nantlle Ridge was left off lists of Welsh 2000 ft mountains because OS maps gave it 609 m, until a precise GPS survey by hillwalkers in 2008 measured 609.75 m. Mynydd Graig Goch, 'mountain of the red rock', is a subsidiary of Craig Cwm Silyn and the most westerly 2000 ft peak in Wales. Several rock tors crown its top, one of them the true summit, and the views take in Llŷn and the coast.
