An Socach, 'the snout', is a grassy, rounded hill north of Glen Affric, with a cairn on a rock outcrop marking the top. A stalkers' path climbs onto its ridge from the remote Glen Affric hostel, and another rises from the glen to the bealach on its north-east side. It's usually paired with Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan, and it's also part of the long Mullardoch Munros round.
