Beinn Fhionnlaidh, 'Finlay's mountain', rises sharply from the western end of Loch Mullardoch, a long way from the nearest road. A high bealach ties it to Carn Eighe, and plenty of walkers pick it up as an out-and-back from that hill rather than climbing it on its own. A large cairn sits on the summit, and the view takes in the Mullardoch and Affric hills and, to the west, the peaks of Kintail.
