Beinn Bheoil, 'hill of the mouth', is a long north to south ridge on the western shore of Loch Ericht, usually climbed together with its bigger neighbour Ben Alder. A cairn marks the top. Granite boulders dumped by ice on the hill show how thick the ice sheets were when they crossed this area.
