Beinn Bhuidhe, roughly 'yellow mountain', stands on its own north of the head of Loch Fyne, between upper Glen Fyne and Glen Shira and apart from the Arrochar Alps. Three ridges spread out from it like the prongs of a trident, and the highest point lies midway along a 6 km main ridge carrying three tops. The summit has a cairn and the base of a damaged trig point. It's reached by a long walk up a private road in Glen Fyne.
