Beinn Dearg is a remote, solitary hill in the Forest of Atholl, north of Glen Bruar, reached by a long walk in from the Falls of Bruar. Its weathered, rounded top is the high point of a long plateau running south-west to north-east. A trig point stands inside a wind shelter, but the actual highest point is a pointed boulder a few metres north of it.
