RegionGlen Coe & Glen Etive

The 'great herdsman of Etive' is a ridge about 8 km long at the head of Glen Etive, and Stob Dearg is its highest point, a rocky outcrop near a cairn on the path. Seen from the Kings House, its pyramid makes it one of the most photographed mountains in Scotland, and it has turned up in films including Skyfall. Its north-east face carries Curved Ridge, a famous scramble, and Crowberry Ridge, first climbed direct in 1900.
