Garbh Chioch Mhor stands at the head of Glen Dessary, linked to Sgurr na Ciche by a sharp, rocky ridge that needs a scramble past Bealach na h-Eangair. Its highest point is a rock outcrop, with a cairn a little to the east that's about a metre lower. From the top you look west down Loch Nevis, north-east to Loch Quoich, and across the mountains of Knoydart.
