Meall Buidhe, 'yellow hill', is one of three Munros on the Knoydart peninsula, about 8 km east of Inverie. Inverie can only be reached by boat from Mallaig or a long walk in, but estate tracks from the village make this one of the easier Knoydart hills to get at. The mountain itself is rough and rocky, with its summit among ridges and corries. The highest point is a rock just beside the cairn.
