Mullach an Rathain is the western of Liathach's two Munro summits, a rocky top with a cairn on a ridge that runs east to west above Loch Torridon. Liathach is often translated as 'the grey one' or 'the hoary place'. North of the summit run the Northern Pinnacles, a rock climb first done in 1894, while to the east the ridge crosses the jagged pinnacles of Am Fasarinen, 'the teeth'.
