Spidean a' Choire Lèith, the 'peak of the grey corrie', is the highest point of Liathach, a name usually translated as 'the grey one' or 'the hoary place'. A boulder-covered slope leads up to the cairn. West of the summit the ridge narrows into Am Fasarinen, a line of shattered pinnacles that has very few ways off. The view from the top reaches from Ben Hope in the north to Ben Nevis in the south.
