Deep in the Fisherfield wilderness, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair is the highest Munro in the group, and its name means 'summit of the corrie of Farquhar's son'. Its summit is a jumble of white and grey quartzite blocks with only a tiny cairn. Spurs run north to Sgurr Ban, south towards Beinn Tarsuinn and east to Sgurr Dubh, one of its two subsidiary tops.
