Sgorr nam Fiannaidh is the western Munro of the Aonach Eagach, the 'notched ridge' that walls in the north side of Glen Coe and is often called the hardest scrambling ridge on the Scottish mainland. Crossing the pinnacles from here to Meall Dearg can take more than two hours. Only the remains of a trig point mark the top, and the steep, loose path beside Clachaig Gully has seen fatal accidents.
