Sgùrr na Càrnach sits between Sgùrr Fhuaran and Sgùrr na Ciste Duibhe on the Five Sisters of Kintail, and its name means 'peak of the stony place'. It was only counted as a Top of Sgùrr Fhuaran until 1997, when the Scottish Mountaineering Club gave it full Munro status. The bouldery summit has a large cairn, and from it you look straight along Loch Duich to the north and down into Coire Domhain to the east.
