Sgùrr nan Conbhairean is translated as 'peak of the hound keepers', most likely the men who handled hunting dogs. North of Loch Cluanie, it's the highest of three Munros ringing Coire Sgreumh at the head of Ceannacroc Forest. The western slopes fall away evenly, but the east face is broken by crags and cliffs above rough corries. On top, the highest ground lies between a large cairn and a small wind shelter.
