Shaped as a broad ridge running south-south-west to north-north-east, Fan Llia peaks at 631.9 m in the Fforest Fawr uplands, with a few flat stones at the top. It is a subsidiary summit of Fan Fawr, and its northern top, Fan Dringarth, reaches 617 m. Most walkers climb from the Blaen Llia car park on a ridge route also followed by the Beacons Way, and house platforms of archaeological interest lie on its flanks.
