Bleaklow Head is a barely noticeable rise in one of the wildest stretches of the Dark Peak, a maze of peat hags and groughs where navigation is famously hard. A big cairn stands on the top, but the highest point is a tiny cairn on a peat hag about 50 m east of it. Close by are the Wain Stones, a pair of weathered gritstone blocks better known as the Kissing Stones, and the Pennine Way passes over the summit.
