Chrome Hill (said 'kroom') is a jagged limestone reef knoll in the upper Dove valley, and with neighbouring Parkhouse Hill it forms the Dragon's Back, one of the Peak's most distinctive skylines. The rock is packed with fossil shells of the giant brachiopod Gigantoproductus, and the hill is protected as an SSSI. From Glutton Bridge you can sometimes watch a double sunset as the sun dips behind its ridge and reappears.
