Fin Cop is a steep-sided limestone hill above Monsal Dale, and its top is ringed by an Iron Age hillfort. Digs in 2009 and 2010 showed the fort's wall was built around 440 to 390 BC and later pulled down into the ditch. The remains of nine people, all the identifiable ones women and children, were found buried in the rubble. There's nothing on the summit itself apart from a wall and a post. The summit is on private land.
