Grindslow Knoll stands on the western side of Grindsbrook Clough, a rounded spur of Kinder Scout that looks like a separate hill from the valley. A large cairn marks the top. Kinder blocks the view north, but to the south the ground plunges into the Vale of Edale, and the top looks out over much of the southern Peak. Most people climb it straight up from Edale, or tick it off as a short detour from the path along Kinder's southern edge.
