Harthill Moor is a low gritstone moor between Elton and Youlgreave, with a trig point at the top. Its eastern side is full of prehistoric remains. Nine Stones Close is a Bronze Age stone circle with four tall stones still standing, and Castle Ring is an oval earthwork about 100 m across. Nearby are the pinnacles of Robin Hood's Stride and a medieval hermit's cave at Cratcliffe, with a crucifix carved into the rock. The summit is on private land.
