A ring of trees on Minninglow can be seen for miles across the White Peak, and inside it hides Derbyshire's largest chambered tomb. The oldest chamber dates from the early Neolithic, and the oval cairn still holds two complete stone chambers and parts of at least three more. Two Bronze Age barrows sit alongside, and Thomas Bateman excavated the site in 1843 and 1851.
