Am Bodach, 'the old man', is one of the four peaks of the Ring of Steall, the horseshoe of Mamores ridges around Coire a' Mhail, north of Kinlochleven. A cairn marks the top. Its east face is very steep, especially above Coire na Ba, and the sharp, loose east shoulder is easier to climb than to come down. Old stalkers' paths help on several approaches.
