Beinn Challuim, often written Ben Challum, is thought to mean 'Callum's mountain', possibly after St Columba. That fits nicely with the ruins of St Fillan's Priory on its lower slopes, as St Fillan carried Columba's Christianity into Breadalbane. A big cairn on Stob Glas, the true summit, overlooks a sheer northern face, while a lower south top can fool walkers in mist. It sits in the Forest of Mamlorn, an old deer forest.
