Beinn Eunaich rises steeply out of Glen Strae, north of Dalmally, on a long ridge that runs between Loch Etive and Glen Strae. Its name is thought to mean 'fowling hill', a hint that it was once a place for hunting birds. A cairn marks the summit, and it's usually climbed together with its western neighbour, Beinn a' Chochuill, across a col of about 728 m.
