Stob Daimh, the 'peak of the stag', is the eastern Munro of the Cruachan Horseshoe, the ring of hills around the Cruachan Dam reservoir. It's less craggy than Ben Cruachan, with grassy slopes and airy ridges, though the link between them has a short bad step that you can climb or skirt. A rock 6 m from the large cairn is taken as the top, and the view runs east into Glen Noe and over the reservoir. Ordnance Survey maps spell it Stob Diamh.
