Being close to Dundee, Driesh is a favourite with people from the city, and it's been called the Dundonian answer to Ben Lomond. The name is thought to mean 'thorn bush' or 'bramble'. Its domed top has a trig point, with winter corries dropping north-east to Glen Clova, the forests of Glen Doll to the north-west and heathery slopes running south towards Glen Prosen. Most walkers pair it with Mayar along a broad grassy crest.
