Tom Buidhe means 'yellow hill', a fair name for a rounded, grassy swelling at the head of Glen Doll. It hardly looks like a mountain from any side, and the cairn sits on a broad dome of the Mounth plateau where there's little rock to steer by. A faint line of old fence posts is the main thing to navigate by. Most walkers pair it with Tolmount, its near twin.
