Meall a' Choire Lèith means 'hill of the grey corrie', and it sits at the western end of the Ben Lawers range, overlooking Lochan na Lairige. It's a big, flat-topped dome, and the highest point is a rock about 20 m south of the cairn. A ridge links it southwards to Meall Corranaich, and that ground is popular for early-season skiing.
