Meall na Aighean is the most easterly of the four Carn Mairg Munros on the north side of Glen Lyon, and its name means roughly 'hill of the heifers or hinds'. There's a cairn on top, though the highest point is a rock just to its north. The group is a high, rolling moorland ridge looping round the Invervar Burn, with only shallow dips between the summits and a line of old fence posts to follow.
