Sgurr Thuilm stands at the head of Glen Finnan, about 7 km north of Loch Shiel, and its name is given as 'rocky peak of the hillock'. Its ridges curve round Coire Thollaidh, where the River Finnan rises, with the western arm running on to Sgurr nan Coireachan. A cairn marks the top, though a rock just to the south may be just as high.
