Two huge prehistoric cairns, Carnau'r Garreg Las, stand on the summit of Garreg Las, and the more northerly one marks the highest point. Also known as Twyn Swnd, it is a 635 m subsidiary summit of Fan Brycheiniog, sitting towards the northern end of the broad ridge of Esgair Hir. The Beacons Way continues southwards over the hill.
