Wales's highest mountain, Snowdon reaches 1085 m and is the highest point in the British Isles south of the Scottish Highlands. It has been described as the busiest mountain in the United Kingdom, with six main paths to the top, and the Snowdon Mountain Railway, opened in 1896, runs from Llanberis to the summit station. A trig point and view indicator mark the summit, with Crib y Ddysgl just 0.8 km away.
