Bonscale Pike shows a craggy face to Ullswater, best seen from Howtown or a lake steamer. Its small cairn sits on a grassy mound just back from the crag edge, and on the rim itself stand two stone beacons, the lower called Bonscale Tower. Behind, the ground is easy fell grass rising towards Loadpot Hill, which blocks the view south, but the Helvellyn range shows well across the lake.
