Steel Knotts is a narrow ridge, sometimes called Martindale Edge, between Fusedale and Martindale on the south side of Ullswater. Its top is a rocky pinnacle known as Pikeawassa, which makes a short scramble to finish the climb. The Fusedale side is steep and craggy, and the view west looks over Martindale to the Helvellyn range.
