Latrigg is the low, rounded hump at the southern tip of the Skiddaw massif, and one of the easiest fells to reach, with a built path giving disabled access from the Gale Road car park. The top is open sheep pasture with an inscribed stone at the highest point and a few wind-bent trees, one known as The Witch. Wainwright praised the view over Keswick, along Derwentwater and up Borrowdale.
