Walla Crag's wooded face rises above Derwentwater just south of Keswick, and the only major break in it is Lady's Rake. The cairned top sits a little back from the edge, looking down on the lake's northern islands and the Vale of Keswick, with a clear line up Borrowdale to the high fells. Behind the crag, smooth heather ground drops to a broad hollow called Low Moss.
