Skiddaw Little Man rises just south-east of Skiddaw itself, and its slaty top has a rebuilt cairn with the highest rock a few metres to the north. Because its southern slopes curve away so steeply, the view south is far more open than from Skiddaw's summit. Wainwright rated it among the finest in the district, looking down over Keswick, Derwentwater and the fells beyond, while the lower top of Lesser Man has an odd cairn built of stones and old fence posts.
