Slight Side is the rocky tor at the southern tip of the Scafell massif, and from Eskdale it looks like a neat peak in its own right. A small cairn sits on the tor, and the last bit to it is a short scramble. The Norse name is thought to mean 'the shieling with the level pastures', and the best view is west towards the sea.
