Eagle Crag rises above Stonethwaite, where the Langstrath and Greenup valleys meet, and it's the steep, craggy end of the long ridge running north from High Raise. The top is only a few stones on a sloping slab of rock, with crags falling away just to the west and north. Wainwright praised how well placed and well shaped it is, and from the summit you look out over Borrowdale and up Langstrath.
