Calf Crag is a rocky knoll with a tidy cairn and a small crag just below it, on the broad, bumpy ground east of High Raise. Two narrow ridges run east from here, one to Steel Fell and one over Gibson Knott to Helm Crag, making it the far end of the popular Greenburn Horseshoe. Higher fells cut off the view west, but there's a fine look down to Grasmere with the Helvellyn range rising behind.
