Ullscarf is a broad, quiet fell in the middle of the Central Fells, with a cairn on its top and a line of old iron fence posts tracing the watershed across it. The plateau is mostly coarse grass and heather with few paths, and the ground can be very wet, especially between Standing Crag and High Tove. On a clear day it gives a fine look at both the Scafells and the Helvellyn range.
