High Raise is often called the most central fell in the Lake District, and from its top every major fell group is in view. The summit, also known as High White Stones after the grey boulders there, has a trig point and a big cairn that doubles as a wind shelter. On a clear day you can pick out Skiddaw, Helvellyn and the Scafells, and even the Yorkshire Three Peaks about 60 km away.
