Grange Fell was bought by public subscription and given to the National Trust in 1910 as a memorial to King Edward VII, dedicated by his sister Princess Louise; a slate plaque near the top records it. The highest point, Brund Fell, is a rock tor with a cairn rising out of a heathery, hummocky plateau. From King's How there are views over Derwentwater to Skiddaw and up Borrowdale.
